Happy belated New Year to everyone! Well, 2017 has certainly started a bit differently and mostly involved climbing things! From the spire of St Mary's church in Tetbury to Pen Y Fan (866) in Wales last week, it seems elevation is the order of the year! Many thanks to the people of St Mary's church in Tetbury for allowing me to clamber up the spire one frosty sunrise recently for a fantastic view of the Gloucestershire countryside. Happy New Year! Welcome to 2017! I firstly just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the people that offered support to me over 2016. The comments and feedback are greatly appreciated. So, 2016 was a very good year for me for personally and for family and business reasons, which was a refreshing change to the previous few years of illnesses and struggles. Having started the year on a fitness kick I managed to drop nearly 20 kg in weight and popped into a 36" waist for the first time in 20+ years! With my new found fitness and mental verve I threw myself around the Lake District, Cornwall and Croatia with the camera kit. Landscape Photographer of the Year: Collection 10 (AA) The Landscape Photographer Of The Year Collection 10 book is now available from all good (and probably some bad) book shops! It's a complete bargain for £20 and features all the winners from this years competition. I'm ecstatic to announce my image "Sheepsies" was awarded a commendation in the finals of the Take A View Landscape Photographer Of The Year 2016 competition in the Classic View category!!! :) Congratulations to all the winners for their fantastic work, please ensure you take a look at the gallery which should appear on the site during the week. Its that time again when the trees start to shed their leaves here in the UK, so after a few days waiting for good weather (and no wind) I went down to Westonbirt Arboretum to capture some images of the acers.
